With all the recent news about currency wars (George Soros has alone earned $1 billion since November trading currencies) there is increased speculation about the future of money in our global system. Admittedly, currency wars are not my area of expertise but the whole thing strikes me as being shady and unproductive for the economy. Just power fighting against power. A manipulative enterprise. Borderline theft.

It would be fascinating if a truly government independent, digital, global currency emerged from a grassroots effort like Bitcoin. A currency of the people and for the people. But given the insane nature of our financial systems, it could be a much needed breath of fresh air.
