Gionee has unveiled a new octa-core Android 4.4 smartphone called the Elife S5.1. Adopting a magnesium alloy frame, this slim mid-range smartphone (just 5.1mm thick) features a 4.8-inch 1280 x 720 AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, a 1GB RAM and a 16GB of internal storage. Powered by a 2100mAh battery, the Elife S5.1 sports a 5MP front-facing camera, an 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and DTS surround sound support, and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Amigo 2.0 UI on top. It also comes with a number of connectivity options including 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS.
